The Syracuse Press Club board is proud to announce the 2022 winner of our prestigious $2,000 Devesty-Williams Scholarship. Congratulations to Moriah Humiston, a senior broadcast and digital journalism major at Syracuse University. Originally from Rome, New York, she has lived in the greater Central New York area for 22 years.
During her time at Syracuse, she has worked for The Daily Orange and CitrusTV. Outside of her work in journalism at SU, she spent the rest of her time keeping the secret of being the Syracuse University Mascot Otto The Orange…until now. Moriah, we look forward to presenting you with your award (and check!) at the SPC Awards Banquet on May 7!
