Our friends at WRVO would like everyone to know they are participating in a Live event of the radio program This American Life on April 23rd. Here is the news release they sent our way with all the details. On Thursday, April 23rd, 2009 host Ira Glass will bring This American Life to the big screen for a one-night only live event.
The radio show will be performed onstage by Ira Glass and several popular contributors, and sent live in HD via satellite to select movie theaters nationwide. In Syracuse, the screening will be hosted by WRVO and take place at 8 pm at Carousel Center. For more details and how to get tickets, visit WRVO’s website www.wrvo.fm.
This years performers will include Dan Savage, Starlee Kine, Mike Birbiglia, David Rakoff and Dave Hill. Plus a new cartoon by Chris Ware, additional visuals by Arthur Jones, and a special appearance by Joss Whedon.
