Going Back for a Look at the Future

What was that old saying, "May you live in interesting times".  Well these have certainly been interesting times for anyone who works in the media. As newspapers, television, and radio struggle with the losses of audience and revenue because of the growth of the internet it is interesting to turn the clock back more than 25 years ago.  A colleague of mine brought this item posted on YouTube to my attention. It is a report on KRON-TV in San Francisco from back in 1981. The story is how the San Francisco Examiner and San Francisco Chronicle were experimenting with a new technology for bringing the news to its readers.
