Make your awards dinner reservation now!
The list of winners has been released, now it's time to make your reservation for the Syracuse Press Club's annual Scholarship and Professional Recognition Awards Dinner.  We will reveal the names of first and second place winners at that time.  We will also present a $2,000 scholarship to a deserving journalism student, and present several club awards to outstanding media people. The event will be held May 4, 2013 at Drumlins Country Club on Nottingham Road in Syracuse. Things get underway with a Cash bar at 6 p.m., buffet dinner at 7 p.m. with the program to follow.

Nancy Duffy

   In 1967, Nancy Duffy joined the staff of WHEN and became the first woman news broadcaster in Central New York. She remained in broadcasting for almost 40 years. But, she is probably as well or better known as the founder and former president of the Syracuse St. Patrick's Parade, which she started in 1983. The parade has become one of Syracuse's largest community events.
