Veteran TV-9 Photog Button Passes Away

Sad news to report, William J. Button, better known to colleagues, competitors and news-makers across Central New York as Billy, passed away Sunday. He was 77.  Billy was retired after a long career as a photographer at WSYR-TV, formally WIXT and WNYS in Syracuse.  Button is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three sons, Tim and Tom of E. Syracuse and William J. Jr., of MA; two grandchildren, William IV (Johnny) and Erika; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, 9am at New Comer funeral home at 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse.  Burial will be at the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
