Be sure to drop by Barnes & Noble on Erie Boulevard in DeWitt on February 11th at 7:00pm. Post-Standard Columnist Sean Kirst will be signing copies of his new book Moonfixer: The Basketball Journey of Earl Lloyd. Lloyd became the first African American to play in an NBA basketball game.  Lloyd played seven games for the Washington Capitals before the team folded. He spent six years with Syracuse Nationals and later with Detroit before retiring.

From the publisher: Throughout his career, he (Lloyd) quietly endured the overwhelming slights and exclusions that went with being black in America. In a series of extraordinary conversations with Sean Kirst, Lloyd reveals his fierce determination to succeed, his frustration with the plight of many young black men, and his sincere desire for the nation to achieve true equality among citizens.
